Ryanair has announced it will open a new base at Bucharest Airport from 30 October this year, adding new routes and increasing flights.
Three aircraft will fly from the base in Romania, which will fly to two new destinations, Athens and Timisoara in western Romania. It will add more flights to Brussels (9 weekly), Milan (daily) and Dublin (5 weekly).
In total, Ryanair will fly 1.4 million customers across 10 routes on 90 weekly flights, which also include destinations such as Bologna, London and Madrid.
The new Bucharest base, Ryanair's 81st, will support over 1,000 jobs, according to Ryanair chief Michael O'Leary.
