Ryanair has announced it will be launching a new twice-weekly service from Shannon to Barcelona Reus in March 2018.
As reported by The Irish Independent, the route will operate every Tuesday and Saturday between 27 March and 27 October next year.
Located approximately 106km southwest of Barcelona, Reus airport is accessible to the city via bus, train and taxi, and is also in close proximity to Salou and PortAventura World, the latter of which is about 15 minutes from the airport.
Shannon's head of aviation development, Declan Power, commented: "This is another welcome boost for Shannon and the region, and we look forward to working with [Ryanair] to ensure our passengers take absolute advantage of this exciting offering."
