In a statement published on corporate.ryanair.com, Ryanair said, "Ryanair, Ireland's no.1 airline and sponsor of day three at the Cheltenham National Hunt Festival, has today (17 Dec) added an extra 4,000 seats to the most anticipated date in the horse racing calendar, operating flights from Dublin, Cork & Shannon to Birmingham and Bristol for the highly-awaited 2022 festival.
"With Irish horses, jockeys & trainers dominating the winning ring last year, Ryanair has scheduled 4,000 extra seats (over 20,000 in total) throughout the week from Monday, 14th March.
"Flights for the four-day Cheltenham Festival are now available to book at Ryanair.com. Tickets are expected to sell out fast as racing fans make up for missing out on last year’s action, so ladies get the hats ready, gentlemen dust off your tweed suit and book your flights now to avoid missing out.
"Ryanair's Director of Marketing, Dara Brady, said, 'Last year was a sensational year for Irish winners at Cheltenham, but unfortunately we could not be there in person to support the Irish talent. We're delighted to stirrup some early excitement this year by adding 4,000 extra seats for Irish racing fans, with flights departing from Dublin, Cork and Shannon from Monday, 14th March. Race goers can now avail of the lowest fares with Ryanair and soak up the atmosphere across the four-day festival.
"'Seats are selling fast so fans are urged to gallop onto the Ryanair.com website and book their racing getaway today.'"
