Close to three million travellers passed through Dublin Airport in May. This figure is a 4% rise on the figure for the same month last year and a new record for the airport for May.
Europe And The UK
The number of people who travelled to and from continental Europe rose by 4%, compared to May of 2018, to 1.6 million, while the number of people who travelled to and from the UK increased by 2% to 884,000.
North America And Other International Traffic
Meanwhile, traffic to and from North America increased by 8% to 412,500 passengers, and other international traffic, primarily to the Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific regions, grew by 5% to close to 72,600 passengers.
Domestic Routes
Additionally, the number of people who travelled on domestic routes in May dropped by 12% to 9,000.
