New figures from the Irish Aviation Authority reveal that there were a record 115,834 flights, take-offs and landings in the Republic of Ireland's airspace during July, representing a 3.2% rise on the same period in 2017.
With 706 aircraft movements per day, Dublin Airport saw a 4.3% increase in take-offs and landings in July while Cork's take-off and landing statistics rose 0.5% with 70 movements per days and figures for Shannon were up by 8% with 68 movements per day, as reported by The Irish Times.

Meanwhile, the number of flights that passed through Republic airspace moving between Europe and North America without landing rose 4.4% and flights through the Shanwick Oceanic Zone were up 1.6%.
