Press Up Group Announces Charity Partnership With Aware

Irish hospitality group Press Up has announced a new charity partnership with Aware.

Aware is a national organisation providing free support, education and information services around depression and bipolar disorder. The hospitality industry is one noted for its high incidence of stress related issues and Press Up has partnered with Aware to provide support, education and information services to its 1,500 staff and further raise public awareness of this issue.

Press Up’s Head of HR, Angel Birt, said, "We are working hard to create a healthy and open working environment for all our members of staff. We are encouraging an open-door policy for any of our team who are experiencing difficulties. By partnering with Aware, we are able to provide essential educational and support services to our staff. In addition, we are excited to roll out a number of events this year that will highlight the excellent work that Aware do, and raise vital funds to ensure they can continue to play such an important role in the mental health sector."

Press Up will host a number of unique events over the course of the year in order to raise funds for Aware, including gigs, creative talks, spoken word events, and movies in The Stella and The Devlin.

Press Up will also host a gala dinner to coincide with October’s Mental Health Awareness Week, with tickets and tables sold through Press Up and all profits going to Aware. 10c from each coffee sold during Mental Health Awareness Week will also go directly to Aware.

In addition, Press Up will be inviting guests in their restaurants to donate €1 to Aware through an optional customer add on to all restaurant receipts.
