Oakberry To Open Two New Outlets In Dublin

Oakberry, the global açaí bowl group, has announced plans to open two new Dublin stores within the next month. The first store will open in the Blanchardstown Shopping Centre on 8 November, and a second will open early next month, in the Ilac Centre.

Oakberry also plans to have 18-20 Irish outlets open by the end of 2025, in locations that include Cork, Kildare and Galway.

Expansion

Three young Dublin-based entrepreneurs – Nick Twomey, Cian O’Donoghue and Ben Mulligan – acquired the master Oakberry franchise for Ireland after noticing more people choosing nutritious and convenient plant-based meals.

Following the success of Oakberry’s Anne Street South store (just off Grafton Street) – which now boasts the highest sales of any Oakberry store in Europe and ranks in the top five globally – the team has been motivated to expand further.

“We knew we were taking a risk when we brought Oakberry to Ireland, but the response has been incredible,” said co-owner Twomey. “The Anne Street store’s success showed us that Ireland is ready for a super-healthy, more sustainable option when it comes to fast dining, and we’re proud to bring that to more communities across the country.”

‘Amazing Health Benefits’

The Oakberry brand now boasts over 700 stores globally, from London to LA.

Oakberry’s açai recipe is natural and organic, gluten-free, vegan, and free of artificial preservatives, food colourings and syrups. The açai pulp is a natural antioxidant that neutralises free radicals. It contains minerals like potassium and calcium, Vitamin E, healthy fats like Omegas 6 and 9, and vegan proteins.

“As delicious as they are, there are also amazing health benefits,” said co-owner Mulligan, “which is why they are so globally associated with a healthy crowd.”
