Number Of Tourist Vehicles Travelling Into Dublin Port Increased More Than Threefold Between May And July

The number of tourist vehicles travelling into Dublin Port increased more than threefold between May and July, despite the continuing COVID-19 pandemic and related travel restrictions.

According to figures provided to The Irish Independent, 23,972 tourist vehicles arrived at Dublin Port in July.

In May, 7,165 tourist vehicles arrived at the port.

Including heavy goods vehicles, a total of 83,938 passengers arrived at Dublin Port in July.

The total number of passengers that arrived at the port in May was 38,465.

Belfast Harbour

Meanwhile, 110,000 passengers arrived at Belfast Harbour in July following 32,000 passengers in May, according to a spokesperson for the harbour, as reported by The Irish Independent.

However, the spokesperson noted that these figures represent the total number of people that arrived at the harbour in May and July, and not tourist traffic specifically.
