Norwegian Air has announced plans to increase the number of flights it operates from Ireland's Shannon Airport to Providence, Rhode Island, and Stewart International Airport in New York state from two a week to four and two a week to three, respectively, from March of 2018.
As reported by The Irish Times, Norwegian chief commercial officer Thomas Ramdahl asserted, "These additional flights will give Irish passengers even more choice, and are another important step in our plans for continued growth in Ireland."
Meanwhile, Shannon managing director Andrew Murphy commented, "This announcement clearly demonstrates Norwegian's commitment at Shannon, and results in an increase of over 200% in capacity by the airline in 2018."
