Fáilte Ireland has launched a new Wild Atlantic Way video, in collaboration with Irish band Walking on Cars, to get visitors to "leave the ordinary elsewhere and embrace the Wild Atlantic Way of life in 2017".
The video, which is only 80 seconds long, combines iconic shots of the coastal route and its experiences, ranging from crashing waves to horse riding on the beach, festivals and oysters being shucked, complemented with an Irish soundtrack.
Fáilte Ireland has previously used music from Irish bands like Heathers, Ham Sandwich and The Riptide Movement in some of its previous marketing campaigns, reports The Irish Independent.
Discussing the video, Patrick Sheehy, frontman of the band and Dingle native, said: "The views [of the Dingle Peninsula] definitely helped the vibe along as we were trying to find our sound. Our songs are quite epic, and we believe that the landscape around us had something to do to that."
