At the National Hospitality Awards 2018, the industry awards for the Irish hospitality sector, held on Monday October 15, some of the finest hospitality businesses in the country were represented at Dublin's Shelbourne Hotel.
At the awards ceremony, the businesses gathered together to witness the winners being announced, with The Ivy of Dublin picking up the overall “Best New Establishment” accolade, seeing off competition from Bresson of Monkstown, The Grayson of St. Stephen’s Green and Dublin’s Iveagh Garden Hotel.
Zozimus of Dublin’s Anne St. South was named overall “Best Bar”, coming in ahead of An Púcán of Galway, The Bank on College Green and the Franciscan Well Brewery of Cork.
The overall “Best Restaurant” award went to Dublin’s One Pico, with the capital’s Taste at Rustic, Aniar of Galway and Co. Wexford’s Aldridge Lodge also in the winners’ stable.
Overall “Best Business Hotel” went to The Conrad of Dublin, while overall “Best Hotel” was awarded to Ashford Castle, and The Doyle Collection was named overall “Best Hotel Group”.
Elsewhere, Searsons was named overall “Best Sporting Bar”, Bastible was crowned overall “Best Casual Dining” venue and The House Restaurant at The Cliff House Hotel took the title of overall “Best Hotel Restaurant”.
