KLM Royal Dutch Airlines has launched its previously-announced daily service from Cork Airport to Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport.
"Continued Strengthening And Deepening Of Ties"
In a statement published on Cork Airport's website, Netherlands ambassador Adriaan Palm said, "I would like to congratulate KLM and Cork Airport on the introduction of the new daily flight between Amsterdam and Cork. It is a sign of the continued strengthening and deepening of ties between Ireland and the Netherlands. This is also illustrated clearly by the increasing trade and tourism between our two countries.
"A Sign Of Confidence In The Future"
Palm added, "The new daily flight is also a sign of confidence in the future. For now, only essential travel is possible as we continue to fight COVID-19, but the daily flight will provide invaluable connectivity for the citizens and the business community of the south of Ireland in the future. I hope that soon people will also be able to use the Cork-Amsterdam connection for non-essential visits. They can then experience the wonderful offerings available in both Ireland and the Netherlands."
