Lord and Lady Ardee of Killruddery in Bray, Co. Wicklow, have announced the appointment of Philip Ryan as chief operating officer.
Details
Ryan joined the team in May of this year, bringing over three decades of experience in the Michelin and five-star hospitality and upmarket food retail sectors to the privately owned 800 acre estate.
Ryan's career in hospitality has included management positions at Ashford Castle, opening the Michelin starred Commons Restaurant on St Stephen's Green, being general manager of the five-star Glenlo Abbey Hotel, founding Carluccio's Ireland and various consulting roles with companies such as the Michelin starred Chapter One Restaurant, Westport House & Hotel, the National Concert Hall and Donnybrook Fair, as well as managing thereopening of Bewley's Café on Dublin's Grafton Street in 2017.
Hailing from Co. Dublin, Ryan began his career gaining experience in a variety of management and operational roles in the food and hospitality sector, where he developed a keen interest in food sustainability and the Irish food and agri-sector.
