Irish Golf Promoted At Invited Champions Classic In US

Tourism Ireland is attending the Invited Champions Classic, an annual pro-am golf tournament taking place at Kiawah Island Golf Resort in South Carolina this week, together with five golf and tourism operators from Ireland.

Tourism Ireland is showcasing Irish golf, as well as reminding golfers that the Open returns to Royal Portrush in 2025 and Adare Manor will host the Ryder Cup in 2027.

The Invited Champions Classic is an opportunity to target a high-net-worth audience with the participating golf and tourism operators from Ireland networking and generating leads for business in 2025 and beyond. Over 200 people are taking part in the golf tournament.

“This is just one element of Tourism Ireland’s busy promotional programme to encourage more golfers from around the globe to consider a holiday in Ireland,” said Aisling McDermott, Tourism Ireland’s head of global partnerships.

“Our message is that Ireland offers golfers the complete package, with some of the very best golf in the world, spectacular scenery, and the warmest of welcomes.”

Tourism and golf operators joining Tourism Ireland at Invited Champions Classic 2024 include G Golf Ireland, Killeen Castle, NI Golf Tours, North & West Coast Links Golf Ireland and SWING Golf Ireland.
