Following a five month delay, Irish Ferries has announced that its WB Yeats ferry is expected to dock in Dublin next week.
As reported by The Irish Times, Irish Ferries cancelled bookings on the ferry in July, August and September, affecting the travel plans of almost 30,000 people, with German shipbuilding firm FSG attributing the delay in the €147 million ship's delivery to the late arrival of parts from suppliers.
"Delighted To Confirm"
However, Irish Ferries issued a statement on Wednesday December 12 asserting that the company was "delighted to confirm the upcoming arrival of the all-new WB Yeats, which is expected to dock in Dublin next week".
Featuring 440 cabins and capacity for up to 1,800 passengers, the WB Yeats will sail directly from Dublin to France up to four times weekly between mid-March and September.
