CATEX to stir up growth for the foodservice and hospitality industries

Tomorrow marks the highly anticipated opening of CATEX 2025, Ireland’s largest foodservice and hospitality expo, celebrating its 60th anniversary at the RDS Simmonscourt.

Organised by the Irish Foodservice Suppliers’ Alliance (IFSA), CATEX has been a cornerstone of the industry for six decades, bringing together over 18,500 visitors from the foodservice and hospitality sectors. Taking place from 18 to 20 February 2025, this biennial event features 280 exhibitors, all eager to showcase innovations, generate new business, and provide practical solutions to today’s industry challenges.

The purchasing power of this year’s attendees is estimated at an impressive €288.68 million, highlighting CATEX as a vital marketplace, where deals are made, trends are set, and future innovations in foodservice and hospitality take shape.

As part of the anniversary celebrations, CATEX will continue to champion sustainability and innovation, with the prestigious IFSA Awards recognising suppliers who are shaping a greener, more efficient future. Talent and skills are high on the agenda, with the Irish Brewers’ Cup, the Bartenders’ Association of Ireland Official Cocktail Competition, and Chef Ireland’s national culinary competition all taking place over the three days.

A major attraction this year is the Aramark Producer and New Supplier Showcase, drawing significant interest from artisanal exhibitors. In a Dragons’ Den-style format, Aramark – one of Ireland’s largest integrated service providers – will offer suppliers the chance to secure a place in its foodservice business.

CATEX 2025, proudly sponsored by Calor and Bunzl McLaughlin, runs from 18 to 20 February at the RDS Simmonscourt. A business-to-business event, attendees can register for free at www.catexexhibition.com.
