Tourism Ireland, together with a delegation of 19 tourism companies from Ireland and Canada, is undertaking a four-city sales blitz in Canada this week, meeting with more than 300 Canadian travel agents in the cities of Toronto, Calgary, Vancouver and Victoria.
Details
The sales mission involves a workshop in each city, where the participating tourism companies from Ireland have the opportunity to network with, and sell to, influential Canadian travel professionals, informing them about the many things to see and do on a holiday in Ireland. The delegation will also meet influential travel journalists and bloggers at two media events, in Toronto and Vancouver.
Tourism Ireland is taking the opportunity to highlight the fact that Ireland is open for business again, and it cannot wait to welcome back visitors from Canada.
Statement By Tourism Ireland’s Manager For Canada
Tourism Ireland’s manager for Canada, Sandra Moffatt, stated, “Our sales blitz to Toronto, Calgary, Vancouver and Victoria this week provides an excellent platform to spread the word about the many things to see and do, and all that is new and exciting, on a vacation to Ireland in 2022 and beyond.
“We are rolling out our ‘Green Button’ campaign in Canada right now, urging travellers to ‘press the Green Button’ and book their trip to Ireland this year. Our extensive programme of promotions is targeting those consumers with the greatest potential to travel to Ireland. Our message is very simple: Ireland is open for business again, and we cannot wait to welcome back visitors from Canada. We’re telling prospective Canadian visitors that now is the time to book their vacation.”
