Insomnia Coffee Expands In Galway With Two New Locations

Insomnia Coffee has announced the opening of two new locations in Galway, located in Knocknacarra and Westside.

The official openings were celebrated this week with special appearances by Galway hurler and Insomnia brand ambassador Conor Whelan and Galway footballer Robert Finnerty, who cut the ribbon in Knocknacarra and welcomed customers to the new location.

‘Where Our Story Began’

“We are delighted to expand our footprint in Galway with the opening of our new cafes in Knocknacarra and Westside,” said Harry O’Kelly, CEO of Insomnia Coffee.

“Galway is where our story began, and we are excited to bring more of our coffee experience to the city. Having Conor Whelan and Robert Finnerty join us today made this milestone even more special.”

Expansion

Insomnia opened its first cafe in Galway in 1997, and it’s still serving, over 27 years later.

The company has over 170 stores and over 600 self-service units in operation around Ireland.

Galway GAA Stars

As the Official Coffee Partner of the GAA/GPA, Insomnia Coffee welcomed Galway GAA stars Whelan and Finnerty (from local club Salthill Knocknacarra) to officially open the Knocknacarra cafe on Friday afternoon.

The proud Galwegians met customers, took selfies, and signed autographs for fans.

The team will be led by cafe manager Ivelina Nacheva, who will be joined by supervisors Jemma and Ellie. Baristas Rosemary, Anton, Alice and Ava are also part of the team.

Everest Base Camp

In June, CEO O’Kelly raised €21,950 for Focus Ireland.
