Hospitality Expo, happening in the RDS from February 6 - 7, will be addressing the key challenges facing hotels, restaurants and pubs in 2018.
The Hospitality Summit will feature keynote speaker Mark Nolan, managing director of Dromoland Castle, looking at how traditional hospitality venues can connect with new and younger clientele. The Summit will also cover topics including technology and marketing, staff retention and recruitment, and design and fit out, along with extensive industry updates and analysis
For pubs the LVA will be running a separate conference for publicans, the LVA Pub Forum. Here, Sorcha Hamilton, the craft beer columnist with The Irish Times, will be discussing new products alongside chairman of the Independent Craft Brewers of Ireland Kevin O’Hara. Other topics include events and entertainment, social media and marketing, and managing food business in pubs.
Meanwhile, for restaurants, there will be the Synergy Pro Chef Forum, a specially designed conference for culinary professionals. The forum will explore the business of being a head chef and managing a successful kitchen. Top chefs and industry professionals will be discussing the key issues and challenges facing kitchen professionals today, as well as exploring the skills and solutions needed to overcome them.
Hospitality Expo will also be hosting the Tech Theatre, a specially designed forum to demonstrate and discuss new technology and innovation. Technology leaders from companies including Open Table, Cloudbeds, Sensys, Wonder Bars and Mitsubishi will present the latest technology and innovation.
The School of Culinary Arts and Food Technology, DIT, will be running a business advice centre featuring a continuous programme of free seminars discussing key business challenges, including marketing, recruitment and customer acquisition among others. They will also be offering free business consultation sessions to attendees
Co-located with Hospitality Expo is the Fit Out Expo featuring the Fit Out Summit. Here, you can hear case studies and insight into design and refurbishment.
