Emirates is hoping to increase the number of flights that it operates between Dublin and Dubai from four per week to one per day.
The Irish Times quotes the airline's country manager for Ireland, Enda Corneille, as saying, "As we get to December and Christmas, we hope to get [the number of flights between Dublin and Dubai] up to daily."
Partially Dependent On Opening Up More Transfer Destinations
Corneille said that a decision to increase the number of flights that Emirates operates between the two cities will party depend on the opening up of more transfer destinations, as passengers from Ireland use Dubai to connect to flights to Asia and the Pacific rim.
