Hook Lighthouse, in Co. Wexford, has announced events to celebrate Easter.
Details
On Sunday 9 April and Monday 10 April, Hook Lighthouse will present an array of free family fun events with the Pirate Princess and her posse. Easter games will take place each afternoon from 1pm, with lots of chocolatey treats.
Family games will take place on the lawns, with the Pirate Treasure Quest being the order of the day – and if the kids get it wrong, Mum has to walk the plank! The Hook Lighthouse resident artist, Rose, will host Easter arts-and-crafts workshops through the school holidays and Easter Weekend, from 11am daily.
Further Details
Guided tours are also on offer, seven days a week, at Hook Lighthouse, sharing with visitors one of the stories on Ireland’s Ancient East. For further details, see HookHeritage.ie.
St Patrick’s Weekend And Mother’s Day Events
Hook Lighthouse’s Easter events will follow its recent St Patrick’s Weekend and Mother’s Day events, which included a green theme in the cafe, a celebration of Patricias and Paddies, which meant that if your name is Paddy, Patricia or Pat, you could get access to a free lighthouse tour on St Patrick’s Day, and a free tour of Hook Lighthouse for all mothers on Mother’s Day, with a sweet treat for them as well.
