Co. Antrim's Giant's Causeway has become Northern Ireland's first tourist attraction to play host to one million visitors.
The number of people visiting the site has risen by a third since 2013, with 70% of its visitors coming from overseas, as reported by the Irish Independent,
Commenting on the Causeway's accomplishment, head of Northern Ireland at Tourism Ireland Aubrey Irwin said it's a "testament to the hard work of the National Trust and Giant's Causeway staff. Overseas visitors regularly tell us that their holiday in Northern Ireland has surpassed their expectations and a visit to Giant's Causeway is certainly a 'must see' now on everyone's itinerary."
