Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media Catherine Martin TD has announced funding of over €830,000 for the promotion of Irish arts globally through Culture Ireland's Grants Programme.

The funding will benefit 112 projects spread across 26 countries and covering dance, film, literature, music, opera, theatre, visual arts, architecture and circus.
Announcing the awards, Minister Martin said, "Through Culture Ireland, my department continues to work towards the Global Ireland 2025 aim, to double Ireland's global cultural footprint by supporting our artists to present work to audiences worldwide. The Culture Ireland funding announced today will assist Irish arts to be enjoyed internationally, enabling Irish artists to achieve the recognition they deserve."
Projects include:
BothAnd Group presenting Dress Rehearsals for the Future: Stories of Roinn Dail and Ngo Resumo Exhibition installation at La Biennale Architettura 2023, Venice, Italy (May - November 2023);
Abbey Theatre presenting ‘A Whistle In The Dark’ by Tom Murphy at The Belgrade Theatre, Coventry, Britain (May 2023);
Téada undertaking a tour of USA & Canada (March - April 2023);
Riverbank Arts Theatre and Dan Colley presenting 'A Very Old Man With Enormous Wings' at Imaginate, Edinburgh, Scotland, June 2023, and the Brighton Festival, Britain, May 2023.
The Irish National Opera & ANU presenting 'Old Ghosts' by Evangelia Rigaki and Marina Carr, Streamed live on OperaVision, from Bloomsday 2023 for a period of 6 months, Online (16 June - December 2023);
Irish Music and Dance London (IMDL) presenting their spring/summer programme, Britain (February - June 2023);
The Murder Capital undertaking a tour of the USA (March - April 2023);
The Mary Wallopers undertaking a tour of the USA (March 2023);
Presentation of Irish film and music at Craic Fest, at Cinema Village, New York, USA (February - March 2023);
Irish writers, including Anne Enright, Claire Kilroy, Dagogo Hart, Nidhi Zak, Aria Eipe, Ashwin Chacko and Una Minh Kavanagh, appearing at the Norwegian Festival of Literature, Norway (May 2023);
Presentation of 'Hard to be soft - A Belfast Prayer' by Oona Doherty at international PeaceDance Festival Osnabrück, Germany (June- July 2023);
And support for Irish filmmakers to attend screenings of their work at Scéal Eile Irish Film Festival, Belgium, and Craic Fest, New York, USA.
