First Two 2022 Tourism Business Continuity Programme Schemes Open

Fáilte Ireland has announced that the first two schemes of the €50 million Tourism Business Continuity Programme 2022 have opened for applications.

Strategic Tourism Transport Business Continuity Scheme

In a statement published on its website, Fáilte Ireland said that the Strategic Tourism Transport Business Scheme opened for applications on Tuesday January 11. This scheme will support tourism operators that are eligible for it, including coach tourism operators, tourism chauffeur, limousine services and escorted private tours.

Strategic Ireland Based Inbound Agents Tourism Business Continuity Scheme

The second of the two schemes, the Strategic Ireland Based Inbound Agents Tourism Business Continuity Scheme, opened for applications today (Wednesday January 12). This scheme will support inbound tour operators, destination management companies (DMCs) and professional conference organisers (PCOs) based in Ireland that package, sell and market Ireland's tourism product in other countries.

Further Schemes

According to Fáilte Ireland, Tourism Business Continuity Programme schemes for attractions and activities providers and tourism accommodation providers will be launched in early March.

Tourism Business Continuity Programme Information

Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media Catherine Martin secured the €50 million allocation for the Tourism Business Continuity Programme in Budget 2022 to fund further schemes under the programme for the purpose of helping to sustain strategic tourism businesses.
