Fáilte Ireland's newest tourism programme 'Dublin Champions' was launched this week with 100 members of Dublin's tourism industry attending the inaugural workshop at The Dean Hotel.
The programme aims to help front of line hospitality staff to deliver a better experience and promote the best of Dublin to its visitors. The training will last for three hours and will also consist of a hands-on guided walking tour of Dublin.
According to organisers, those who complete it will have a better understanding of the “Dublin – a Breath of Fresh Air” brand and what it promises, will be better at identifying the different visitors to Dublin and what they require, be more aware of key attractions and events in the city, as well as learning about Dublin's hidden stories and experiences.
Mark Rowlette, Dublin's Programme Manager, said: "The Dublin Champions Programme supports front-line staff to really deliver the best of Dublin to their visitors. They will be fully ready to champion Dublin and help us to ensure that whoever visits the capital gets to fully experience all it can offer."
