Dublin Airport's Passenger Traffic Increased Year-On-Year In July

The number of people that passed through Dublin Airport declined by approximately 73% year-on-year in July to close to 658,000 from 381,000 in July of 2020.

However, as noted on Dublin Airport's website, the number of people that passed through the airport in July of this year was approximately 81% less than the number of people that passed through the airport in July of 2019, before the COVID-19 pandemic, when 3.4 million passed through the airport.

Europe, UK And North America Traffic

Passenger volumes to and from continental Europe declined by 76% in the seventh month of the year compared to pre-pandemic levels to close to 462,000 people while passenger traffic to and from the UK declined by 87% compared to pre-pandemic levels to close to 118,000 passengers, and transatlantic passenger traffic also declined by 87% compared to pre-pandemic levels to close to 63,000 passengers.

Other International And Domestic Traffic

Meanwhile, other international passenger traffic to and from the Middle East declined by 86% in July compared to pre-pandemic levels to over 15,300 passengers, and the number of people who travelled on domestic routes last month declined by 95% compared to pre-pandemic levels to over 500.

First Seven Months

The number of people who passed through Dublin Airport during the first seven months of 2021 declined by 91% compared to pre-pandemic levels to close to 1.7 million.
