The Dublin Airport Authority is projecting that passenger numbers at the capital's primary air hub will rise by a further 3.2 million to 31.1 million within the next three years.
The Irish Examiner reports that in "commercially sensitive information" contained in documents for a new barber's outlet at the airport, it is predicted that the passenger growth rate for the remainder of the decade will slow down compared to the 11.5% increase the airport experienced in 2016.
Approximately 27.9 million air travellers passed through Dublin Airport last year, making it Europe's fastest growing major airport. The DAA anticipates a growth of 4.6% from 2016's 27.9 million to 29.2 million this year, with 31.1 million passengers expected to pass through the airport in 2020.
