Brittany Ferries has announced it is extending its Cork to Santander, Spain, route through the winter in order to facilitate freight traffic.
Launched in May of this year, the company's Cork to Santander service is the first ever direct ferry route between Ireland and Spain, and, while foot and bicycle passengers are not permitted, the Connemara ferry can accommodate up to 500 passengers travelling in as many as 195 cars, as reported by The Irish Independent.
Schedule and Journey Time
The service departs Cork every Friday and Monday at 11.30pm and takes between 26 and 32.5 hours to reach Santander, depending on conditions during sailing.
