Four leading Swiss travel writers, representing various print and online publications with a combined readership of over 1.3 million potential Swiss holidaymakers, explored Cork and Kerry recently. They were in Ireland as guests of Tourism Ireland and Fáilte Ireland.
The group’s itinerary included Cork City Gaol, Blackrock Castle Observatory, the Jameson Experience Midleton, Titanic Experience Cobh and a guided tour of Garnish Island. They also enjoyed a falconry demonstration, as well as an overnight stay, at the Sheen Falls Lodge in Kenmare.
“Tourism Ireland was delighted to invite this group of leading Swiss travel writers to visit Cork and Kerry,” said Zoë Redmond, Tourism Ireland’s Manager Central Europe. “Fact-finding visits like this are a really effective way for us to get positive exposure for Ireland through the media in Switzerland, helping us to showcase the excellent tourism experiences on offer here to more than 1.3 million potential Swiss holidaymakers.”
