Cork Airport has announced that it has scaled back its hours of operation.
The airport is continuing to facilitate scheduled flights that are being operated to repatriate Irish citizens, emergency landings, medical evacuations and all essential non-commercial flights, including connectivity with Ireland's offshore gas network.
"Flexing" Operating Hours
In a statement on Cork Airport's website, the airport's managing director Niall MacCarthy said, "We are operating a much-reduced service at present and are flexing our hours of operation to suit essential service needs given the global downturn in aviation in recent weeks. Our staff across all departments have done a tremendous job in extremely challenging circumstances to support the national efforts in this unprecedented crisis."
Cork Airport stated that intending passengers should check the latest flight status of all flights on their airline's website.
