New figures for the Convention Centre Dublin have revealed that the venue's operating profits fell to €4.9 million last year from €5.59 million in 2016.
As reported by The Irish Times, the Centre's turnover decreased from €23.6 million to €22.9 million last year while profits rose at the pre-tax level from €12.5 million to €17.4 million.
Repeat Business
Commenting on the venue's performance in 2017, Convention Centre Dublin chief executive Stephen Meehan said, "The fact that 66 of the 155 events that took place in 2017 were repeat business is testimony to how well the centre is becoming established as a quality international venue.
"The healthy outlook for this year and next year is down to advance bookings secured over the past number of years and shows a very encouraging steadiness in the flow of business."
