New data released reveals that Co. Clare's Cliffs of Moher Visitor Experience has played host to one million visitors for the fourth consecutive year.
As reported by newstalk.com, the popular tourist attraction reached one million visitors for 2017 on Friday August 11 and is now expected to surpass 2016's record-breaking total visitor number of 1,427,166 by year's end.
Director of the Cliffs of Moher Visitor Experience Katherine Webster stated, "These significant visitor numbers are fantastic for the local tourism sector and the wider west of Ireland economy."
She also asserted that in an effort "to deal with the challenges in relation to capacity management and sustainable growth", staff at the Experience "are working with other local tourism providers to encourage visitors to experience more of…Clare than the cliffs alone."
