Esquires - The Organic Coffee Co. has announced the appointment of Brendan Duigenan as managing director in Ireland.
With 15 Esquires stores in Ireland, Duigenan will be responsible for growing the brand’s franchisee portfolio, focussing on individual entrepreneurship and local community engagement.

Background
Duigenan who has held senior positions with coffee chains Starbucks and AMT, began his hospitality career 25 years ago managing bars and restaurants before joining Starbucks in 2007 as store manager of the brand’s flagship unit in Kildare Village.
He quickly rose through the ranks to become district manager before joining AMT Coffee in 2014 as area manager for Ireland.
In July 2024, following the retirement of Tony McVerry who introduced the Esquires Coffee brand to Ireland in 2000, Brendan was appointed as managing director.

Esquires - The Organic Coffee Co. is part of New Zealand-based Cooks Coffee Company, a publicly listed company on the New Zealand Stock Exchange and on the Aquis Stock Exchange, London.
The international coffee focused café chain aims to build a family of community based ethical coffee brands serving speciality coffee.
