Fáilte Ireland, the national tourism development authority, recently welcomed guests to the BestCities Global Forum 2025, which took place in Dublin from 24 to 26 January.
The event, supported by the Dublin Convention Bureau, aimed to bring together international associations and industry leaders to explore innovative collaborations and impactful business events.
“Our goal is to leverage business events as a catalyst for positive change, ensuring the conferences hosted here contribute to the economic, social and environmental well-being of our businesses and our communities,” said Paul Mockler, head of commercial development with Fáilte Ireland. ”Conferences bring people together, encouraging collaboration and addressing local, national and global challenges.”
The BestCities Global Forum provides an international platform for showcasing Dublin as a premier destination for business events. Through its support for this event, Fáilte Ireland aims to highlight its renewed focus on enhancing the business events sector, to drive significant economic, social and environmental benefits.
The business events industry is a key component of Ireland’s tourism offering, contributing an estimated €800 million to the economy and supporting 20,000 jobs.
“As attendees share knowledge and ideas, there is potential for long-term social benefits, including the development of community partnerships, increased cultural understanding, and the potential to address social issues within Ireland and further afield,” said Mockler.
