Aer Lingus has been named as the third cleanest and quietest airline flying into London Heathrow in the airport's rankings for the third quarter of 2017.
According to The Irish Times, Aer Lingus scored 920 points on Heathrow's "fly quiet and green" chart, coming in behind Air India and Australia's Qantas, which scored 930 and 921 points, respectively. Aer Lingus's score made it the best short-haul performer on the chart, coming in ahead of British Airways, which was ranked fourth overall.
Aer Lingus runs routes to Heathrow from Dublin, Cork and Shannon airports, with the Dublin-London service generally being the busiest air route in Europe.
