120 tourism enterprises from Ireland joined Tourism Ireland virtually at Britain & Ireland Marketplace (BIM) on Tuesday January 26.

BIM Details

BIM is an annual B2B workshop organised by the European Tourism Association (ETOA) to showcase Britain and the island of Ireland. This year's online event was attended by approximately 150 tour operators and travel buyers from around the world. It involved a series of pre-scheduled, one-to-one appointments, with the companies from Ireland meeting with the international travel buyers. The aim was to showcase Ireland to the international travel buyers to position the country well for when the time is right to welcome international visitors once again.

"Really Pleased To Take Part In BIM This Year"

Tourism Ireland's head of Asia, Middle East and UK inbound, David Boyce, stated, "We are really pleased to take part in BIM this year. The format of virtual one-to-one appointments provides a good opportunity for our partners to showcase Ireland to the important international travel buyers. Our message for those buyers is that, when the time is right, we will have everything ready to welcome international visitors back to our shores. We're assuring our international travel trade partners that tourism companies across the island of Ireland have been implementing all the required new health and safety measures, but will still be ready to deliver a fantastic holiday experience for their clients."
