Savour Kilkenny Food Festival will be returning on the October bank holiday weekend (27-30 October), for its 15th year.
The festival aims to showcase the best of Ireland’s food industry and foster a deeper appreciation for the culinary arts.
Renowned chefs, food producers, local businesses and food enthusiasts will be in attendance, for a weekend of indulgence, entertainment, and culinary exploration.
Ballymaloe Cookery School
Darina Allen, Rachel Allen and Rory O’Connell of the Ballymaloe Cookery School will be headlining the festival, along with highly acclaimed chef Kevin Dundon and Savour Kilkenny’s emcee, Edward Hayden.
Throughout the weekend, attendees will have the opportunity to watch these chefs performing cookery demos for free.
Furthermore, those in attendance can witness talks and cooking demonstrations by figures such as Derval O’Rourke, Nathalie Lennon, Graham Herterich (the Cupcake Bloke) and Arun Kapil.
Savour Market
Dining events begin on 27 October, while the Savour Market, cookery demos, talks and family entertainment will continue on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 October.
Monday 30 October will play host to the second edition of Madra Monday and a rewilding talk with Wildacres.
Wildacres
Wildacres is a social enterprise on a mission to encourage and inspire people throughout Ireland to protect native wildlife and reverse the decline in biodiversity.
Brian O’Toole of Wildacres will discuss the process and potential of rewilding.
Visitors can find out how to attract wildlife to their land throughout the season while helping to build a sustainable future.
Dine Out at Savour
While entry to the Savour Market, cookery demos and talks is free, dining events and special events are individually priced.
