Irish wholesale supplier to foodservice, retail and SMEs Musgrave MarketPlace has predicted that sales of biscuits, chocolate and crisps will increase by 6% over the course of this year's festive season.
Between now and Christmas, Musgrave MarketPlace expects that it will sell over 20,000 tins of Jacob's Biscuits, which amounts to more than one million individual biscuits. The wholesale supplier also predicts that it will sell 2,600 cases of Jaffa Cake Yards, 29,200 bags or tins of Roses, 46,000 units of Milk Tray and 839,682 bags of Tayto crisps.
Musgrave said that this Christmas, its customers will consume 351,648 "Afternoon Tea Tin" Jacob's Biscuits products in addition to 33,200 "Chocolate Kimberleys" and 227,000 USA biscuits.

In keeping with previous years, we predict a seasonal spike in confectionery sales of 6%.
