Renowned Irish entrepreneur Michael Wright has announced plans to convert Dublin's St. Andrew's Church into a new urban food market by June of next year.
According to The Sunday Business Post, the ambitious multi-million euro project, which Wright intends to title 'The Marqette at St. Andrew's Church', will take inspiration from a number of well-known international food markets, including Stockholm's Ostermalm food hall, Harrod's of London and the illustrious Eataly of New York.
With plans in place to incorporate an open fish bar, communal eating areas, live music and 14 different food categories, Wright, who is expected to invest €3 million in the project, hopes to generate as many as 120 new jobs and increase his company's turnover from €38 to €60 million euro during the market's first five years of operation.
