As one of the first trade events to open its doors, CATEX, owned by the Irish Foodservice Suppliers Alliance (IFSA), is working hard to create an incredible showcase for the industry where skills remain firmly on the agenda.
With just two weeks to go, CATEX, supported by Bunzl and Calor, has announced the return of some exciting events that will see the best baristas compete and student and professional chefs getting hot under the collar.
Complementing an impressive exhibitor base that’s growing week on week, new products and services will sit alongside Chef Culinary competitions and a Cold Salon Display from the Panel of Chefs. Organised in record time, the Panel is Chefs is hosting 15 live theatre category competitions including the Aramark Chef of the Year final and a new vegan plant-based category.
The Speciality Coffee Association is hosting the National Brewers Cup - the first since 2019 - and the European Speciality Tea Association will be present on the final day of the show with its Signature Tea Competition. Networking is high on the agenda at the Chef Network Hub and food producers will be pitching for a chance to get listed with Aramark at the Aramark Producers' Showcase.
CATEX is an event built by industry, for industry. Products and solutions to help industry professionals in foodservice and hospitality save on running costs, introduce new innovations and cater for emerging trends will be on display and this is where the real business is done.
Equally important is the need to foster skills and talent, and as the biggest foodservice and hospitality event in Ireland, the return of feature competitions will add to excitement of the three-day event – the first major face-to-face foodservice event following an unprecedented time in history.
The appetite for CATEX is building and IFSA is inviting all of those within foodservice and hospitality to register their attendance now. The doors to CATEX open in just two weeks and this momentous event is a time for industry to support industry, network, find solutions and learn and support each other.
