Deliveroo has teamed up with Dublin donut company The Rolling Donut to create three Rose of Tralee inspired donuts.
The Rose of Tralee inspired donuts have been created to pay homage the Rose of Tralee festival, which has been cancelled this year for the first time in its more than six decade history due to the continuing COVID-19 crisis.
The three Rose of Tralee inspired donuts, which will be available on Friday August 21 and Saturday August 22, are a rose shaped donut called "The Rose" that is filled with a prosecco custard, a Nutella filled donut called "Dapper Dáithí" and a vanilla glazed donut called "Glitz and Glam".
"Deliciously Twee Treats"
Deliveroo's Arabella Jenkins stated, "We know it's been a tough summer for most of us. So, we're very excited to collaborate with The Rolling Donut and give our customers a laugh with these deliciously twee treats."
"A Fitting Tribute To An Irish Institution"
Meanwhile, The Rolling Donut owner Lisa Quinlan commented, "Partnering with Deliveroo to create 'The Donuts of Tralee' has been great craic. These cheeky donuts are a fitting tribute to an Irish institution."
