Deliveroo Ireland has launched a new in-app function that enables customers to donate to the Health Service Executive (HSE).
From today (Monday May 11), when customers order food for delivery via Deliveroo, they will be able to add a donation to the value of their bill at the checkout stage of the ordering process.
All money raised will be placed in a central fund that will be principally utilised for equipment and supplies for frontline workers across Ireland.

A spokesperson for Deliveroo Ireland said, "Our customers are hugely appreciative and supportive of heroic healthcare workers' huge efforts to keep us all safe. Nurses, doctors and paramedics, together with the wider healthcare team, are all part of the frontline workforce, working tirelessly every day and risking their lives for others. We wanted to find a way to help our customers to easily make a donation if they choose to, and as a company we are proud to help the heroes of the HSE in whatever way we can."
