The sixth World Chocolate Masters – the premium international competition solely dedicated to the art of chocolate-making – began in October 2014, and its series of national selections are taking place globally.
The UK and Ireland national pre-selection will take place at Westminster Kingsway College, London, on 18 February 2015.
During this event chocolatiers from all over the two nations will compete for the coveted title of UK and Irish Chocolate Master, before having the great chance to represent their country at the 2015 Grand International Final in Paris.
This one-day contest is dedicated to the creative use of chocolate and “Inspiration from Nature”; each contestant will have to make one chocolate showpiece and one moulded praline.
This year features new challenges: for the Patisserie of the Day assignment participants must employ fresh ingredients for their pieces; for the Chocolate to Go task they must create a whole concept-of-chocolate snack.
