Publican and hotelier Louis Fitzgerald has held preliminary discussions with the Doran family to talk about buying Dublin pubs The Old Stand and Davy Byrnes.
The Irish Independent reports that the Doran family is believed to be selling The Old Stand for €2 million and Davy Byrnes for €6 million. However, it is understood that the Doran family failed to reach a final agreement with Fitzgerald about the sale of the venues.
Confidential Discussions
While he confirmed that his company, the Louis Fitzgerald Group, was interested in acquiring the pubs, Fitzgerald stated that his meetings with the Doran family were confidential and declined to offer further comment.
