Teeling Whiskey is marking St. Patrick’s Day 2018 with a week of events at its distillery. As part of the St. Patrick’s Festival programme, Teeling Whiskey will ‘go green’ to honour Ireland’s patron saint, host a series of fun events, and showcase some of Ireland’s leading craft producers.
Throughout St. Patrick’s Week, the Teeling Whiskey Distillery will be one of several selected Dublin buildings that will be lit up especially for the festivities. Teeling is encouraging residents of the Dublin 8 locality and beyond to stop by the distillery during the festival and check out the display of green which will be alight for one week only.
Teeling Whiskey is also teaming up with event promoters Punch Lion for an evening of stand-up comedy on Thursday March 15. Comedians Steve Cummins, Joe Rooney and Damien Clark will take centre stage in the Teeling Whiskey Distillery for a night of comedy that will kick off at 6:30pm and last until late. Tickets are €15 and include a complimentary cocktail on arrival.
On Friday March 16, Teeling is teaming up with the Little Milk Company and Dot Brew for a whiskey, beer and cheese pairing event. This tasting will take place in the Teeling Whiskey Distillery’s Alchemy Room from 6:30pm. On the night, Teeling Whiskey will be on hand to pair its trinity range of whiskeys with a selection of cheeses and locally crafted beer. The evening will culminate in a hand-crafted cocktail, created by Teeling Whiskey’s award-winning mixologists and served in the new Finishing Room bar.
Tickets are €35 and as this event is limited to just 40 attendees.
On March 18, Irish artisan producers will return to the Teeling Whiskey Distillery for the annual St. Patrick’s Day craft fair. With a host of producers showcasing their creations, the Teeling Craft Fair will take place from 10am-5pm and is free of charge.
Over 20 of Ireland’s most established and up and coming artisan producers will be popping up at this year’s fair, including Teeling Whiskey’s own food collaborators such as gourmet popcorn company Popsy Daisy, craft chocolatier Proper Chocolate Company and The Cupcake Bloke.
Products across the Teeling Whiskey Company’s award-winning range will be available to purchase at the fair and craft breweries Dot Brew, Kinnegar Brewery, Canvas Brewery and Wood Key Brewery will also be sampling and selling their range of brews to visitors.
Additionally, Drift Knits will be at the fair selling its bespoke range of scarves and snoods, and Clarke’s of Dublin will be showcasing its range of handmade body bars and shaving soap, made from ethically sourced Irish ingredients.
