Teeling Whiskey has announced plans to double its current sales to €30 million annually by 2020.
Company founder and chief executive Jack Teeling told The Irish Times that the group intends to “aggressively go after growth opportunities now”.
A Transformational Time
He added, “This year is a landmark one for us with our own whiskey coming of age. It’s going to be a transformational phase in our evolution.”
Teeling is currently planning a commercial release of 6,000 Single Pot Still bottles, which is the first three-year-old produced at its Dublin city distillery. The company sold approximately 850,000 bottles of whiskey last year, and the Teeling founder asserted, “We expect to sell substantially more than that in 2019”.
