California's Stone Brewing, the first independent US craft brewer to operate a brewery in Europe, will be distributed in Ireland following the opening of its Berlin operation.
Irish importer and distributor of speciality craft beer, Fourcorners, will distribute the beers in Ireland. Fourcorners already distribute other well-known foreign brands such as Brooklyn beers, BrewDog and Hofbräu München.
Founded in 1996 by Greg Koch and Steve Wagner, San Diego-based Stone Brewing is the 10th-largest craft brewer in the United States, and started operations in its Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens in Berlin late last year.
"Stone Brewing is an iconic craft beer company and the epitome of craft brewing for millions of beer consumers in the US," said Paul Maher, Founder and Managing Director of Fourcorners.
"We in Fourcorners have waited years for them to make the step across the Atlantic, and we are very proud that they have chosen us as their distribution partner in Ireland.”
As well as some seasonal ales, Fourcorners will distribute year-round selections such as Stone IPA, Go To IPA and Arrogant Bastard Ale.
Meanwhile, Fourcorners will also host a Beer tasting of Scotland's popular BrewDog range at The Cavern bar on Dublin's Baggot Street on Saturday 25 June. Among those to be sampled are Punk IPA, 5AM Saint, Dead Pony Club, Jet Black Heart, Elvis Juice, Jack Hammer and Abstrakt AB:20.
