Spanish winemaker Clara Canals arrived in Dublin last week to help launch the seventh annual Campo Viejo Tapas Trail, which will offer wine enthusiasts the chance to sample wine from Spain's Campo Viejo vineyard at a variety of venues across the capital, including Fallon & Byrne, Eden and The Market Bar.
The promotion, which will run from June 21 to July 30, involves a guided tour of the participating restaurants, beginning with a glass of Campo Viejo Cava before being given a brief introduction to the tapas and wine on offer by chefs at each venue.
Canals, who has been a winemaker with Campo Viejo for many years, told The Irish Examiner that the experience is accessible to those who aren't expert wine tasters as well as to those who are, saying that "Anyone can learn how to taste."
