Northern Ireland’s only craft gin, Shortcross Gin has been listed at The Loop retail outlet in both Terminal One and Terminal Two of Dublin Airport.
Shortcross Gin is the first spirit to be released by Rademon Estate Distiller, founded in 2012 by Fiona and David Boyd-Armstrong in the husband and wife team’s family estate just outside Crossgar, County Down.
As well as its listing in Dublin Airport, Shortcross Gin is currently being exported to a number of international markets including France, Great Britain and Holland.
Head Distiller and co-founder David Boyd-Armstrong commented, “Over the last year, we have worked hard to establish and increase awareness of Shortcross Gin and the small batch philosophy that is at the heart of everything we do.”
This latest listing at The Loop at Dublin Airport is a major boost to our long-term growth strategy for Shortcross,” he added.
Meanwhile, global buying and merchandising director for Dublin Airport, Paul Neeson said, “Shortcross is a premium product that will sit well alongside the other mainstream and craft spirits brands that make up our extensive award-winning duty free offering.”
Explaining that Dublin airport welcomes around 65% of those who fly to the island of Ireland, Neeson added, “Dublin Airport has seen a significant increase in business from Northern Ireland residents as well as a rise in the number of visitors arriving into Dublin who are visiting Northern Ireland.
