Heineken Ireland has appointed Sharon Walsh as its managing director.

According to a statement published on HeinekenIreland.ie earlier this month, Walsh was Heineken Ireland’s commercial director before her new appointment, and she has replaced Maarten Schuurman, who will become the managing director of Heineken’s East and West African region from 1 April.
Walsh is a native of Dublin who has a degree and a higher diploma in hotel and catering management, as well as a master’s degree in strategic international marketing from DCU. She is a mother of three and a board member of children’s cancer charity the Gavin Glynn Foundation.
Prior to working with Heineken, Walsh held positions at UDV, Diageo and Coca-Cola.
